Information on The Children’s Research Fund Junior Board - crfjb.org

The mission of the Children’s Research Fund Junior Board is to support pediatric medical research that is being conducted at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, affiliated with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Dr. Ji Heon Paul Lee

The money Perillo BMW raises will be directly supporting the research of Dr. Ji Heon Paul Lee , a third year fellow in the division of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. Dr. Lee’s current research is investigating the role of the gene DYRK1A in leukemia. Clinical trials show that this gene plays a critical role in development of leukemia. Dr. Lee’s goal is to identify the exact role of the gene and to discover more effective drug therapies for children suffering from this disease.
